How to check the MEID of your iPhone

When buying an iPhone, MEID is one the things you should check. But how can you check the MEID of your iPhone? I will give you a step by step guide on how to check the MEID of your iPhone.

You can find your iPhone’s serial number, IMEI, ICCID or MEID in the “About” settings of your phone. Just tap the “Settings” icon, tap on “General” then “About.” Then scroll down then you will see the details that you need. If by any chance that you cannot access the “About” of your iPhone, then follow these steps and choose from the options below. (iPhone 4 with Verizon are usually the ones who cannot access the About of their phone.)

Option 1: Remove your sim tray. The serial number and the IMEI will be printed on the sim tray. The sim tray on iPhone 4s activated on CDMA carrier displays both the MEID and IMEI number as 15 digits. The MEID number uses the first 14 digits, disregarding the last digit and the IMEI number uses all 15 digits.

Option 2: Using your computer. If you have an access to computer, plugging it to the computer would be the other option. This option is also useful if you are unable to use the iPhone itself. Plug your iPhone to the computer and open iTunes if it doesn’t automatically open iTunes. Select the iPhone when it appears on the left hand column. Then click on the “Summary” tab. Your iPhone’s serial number and phone number will also be there. If you click the word “Phone number” in this tab, you will see the IMEI or MEID of your iPhone in the iTunes, and you will also see the ICCID when you click IMEI.
