Stitch SHSH blobs

Stitch SHSH blobs – Redsn0w’s SHSH blob feature

Stitch SHSH blobs is the final feature of Redsn0w regarding the SHSH blobs options. It is available to the latest Redsn0w version, 0.9.15b3 version, and you can download it for free from the official blog of iPhone Dev-Team.

What Stitch SHSH blobs does?

Stitch SHSH blobs is probably the best feature of Redsn0w because this is the way to successfully downgrade to a previous jailbreakable iOS version. Stitch SHSH blobs allows you to create a “general” IPSW firmware file that can be used whenever you want regardless is Apple still signs (or not) that specific firmware. What Stitch SHSH blobs does is that it combines the firmware file with the SHSH blob for your iDevice and it allows you to downgrade ANYTIME you want. You can read about Fetch/Verify SHSH blobs and Submit/Query blobs from those links.

Why should I use Stitch SHSH blobs option?

The Stitch SHSH blobs is highly recommended from us, and from all the jailbreaking community, because whenever a new firmware is released, you can try it and then if something is not working well, you can easily downgrade to your previous iOS version. The whole procedure takes a very little time to be completed and it is 100% safe for your iDevice.

Normally in order to downgrade your iDevice, you need to have saved your SHSH blobs and then use other tools to achieve an iOS downgrade.

How to use Stitch SHSH blobs feature?

The procedure is very simple and you can find the Stitch SHSH blobs option into Extras -> SHSH blobs and then Stitch.

  1. Click on Stitch and then select the IPSW file you use.
  2. Then click on Local and choose your SHSH blob (you need to save it first)
  3. Then Redsn0w will start Stitching your SHSH blob to the firmware
  4. The final IPSW file will be placed in the same directory where your original firmware was.
