The hacker community announced that they have already found the exploits to perform an untethered jailbreak to iOS 6.1.3 but they are keeping them secret for the moment.

When an untethered jailbreak will be released for iOS 7 and iOS 6.1.3 versions?

The iPhone Dev-Team and all their hacker “friends”, announced that they managed to jailbreak the iOS 6.1.3 version to their iDevices, but they also announced that they will not release it to the public yet. The reason is not that they want to keep it for themselves or sell it to Apple; the main reason is that if they release the untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3 version, Apple will try to patch their new iOS 7 version which will make it very difficult for them to discover new exploits.

The outcome of this, is that when iOS 7 will be released, the hacker community will almost immediately release an untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3 version, and they will be able to test their exploits to the iOS 7 version too. If their plan goes well, we will be able to get both untethered jailbreaks for iOS 7 and 6.1.3 versions for all iDevices.

Is there a release date for iOS 7 of iPhone 5S?

Due to some problems that Apple encountered (some coating issues with the new Finger Print Sensor), a delays is expected to the release date. Normally they release every new product during September, but now the release date will most likely be delayed at least 2-3 weeks.
