One of the most useful and “life-saving” iPhone Tricks and Tips is the Battery life improvement tips. Conserving battery life is in everyones mind, because iPhones and generally smartphones have this battery issue.
The most common ways to prolong your battery life are:
- Settings -> Privacy -> Location Services -> OFF
- Settings -> General -> Cellular -> Enable LTE -> OFF (Only for LTE iDevices)
- Settings -> Sounds -> Vibrate on Ring & Silent -> OFF
- Settings -> Brightness & Wallpaper -> Auto-Brightness -> OFF
- Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Fetch New Data -> Push -> OFF
All the above configurations will give some extra life to your battery, but make sure that you do not really need them, for instance, the vibration or a high brightness is not required in a meeting.

Passcode is a good way to have a first layer of protection to your iDevice, but you may not really “trust” the 4-digit numeric passcode. You can change that with an alphanumeric passcode by going to Settings -> General -> Passcode Lock and then toggle Simple Passcode to OFF.
One of my favorite iPhone tricks and tips is to take a very quick photo from my iPhone and prevent it from being a little shaky. This can be achieved with the help of your headphone cords, because if you press the volume up or down buttons and you are inside the camera application, you will take a snapshot.
